Information on this page is for readers and researchers using the Weston Library's reading rooms.
Opening hours for tours, exhibitions, events, café & shop
Reading rooms
Monday – Friday: 9am – 7pm
Saturday: 10am – 4pm
Reader spaces are locked from 7pm on weekdays and 4pm on Saturdays. Please leave the building with your possessions by those times.
Christmas opening hours
Monday 23 December: 9am – 5pm
The Weston Library reading rooms will be closed from Tuesday 24 December – Wednesday 1 January (inclusive).

About the library
The Weston Library is home to the Bodleian Libraries’ special collections. It is a working library and research centre, and a public event and exhibition space.
The library has three reading rooms and a number of seminar rooms and other study spaces. It is home to:
- Centre for Digital Scholarship
- Visiting Scholars Centre (Centre for the Study of the Book).
- Bodleian Libraries Admissions Office
From Monday 4 November entry and exit bag searches will be carried out on readers accessing the reading rooms.
