Training and workshops at the Social Science Library

The SSL supports the development of transferable research skills by providing a wide range of inter-disciplinary and subject-specific information skills programmes.

Information skills training

The SSL works with the Social Sciences Division to provide a wide range of workshops as part of the research skills and training programme to support social sciences graduate students and researchers. This includes help with searching for and accessing scholarly literature, online information and research data, and guidance on planning and managing the research process.

Bodleian iSkills is a more general programme of free workshops that empower students, researchers, and staff at the University of Oxford to develop essential skills in discovering, critically evaluating, managing, presenting and sharing information in an evolving digital and physical world. Sessions take place either in person or online and should be booked in advance.
